Oriented Strand Board (OSB)

FSC

CERTIFICATE

Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is a very widespread, versatile structural wood panel. OSB is a technical wood board made of water-resistant, heat-cured adhesives and wood chips of a certain size, which are arranged in transversely oriented layers and have many of the strength and performance characteristics of plywood. The combination of wood and adhesives in an OSB panel creates a very dimensionally stable panel that successfully defies deflection and warpage. Similarly, the panels will resist abrasion and deformation when subjected to severe weather and seismic conditions. The OSB panels are relatively lightweight and easy to handle and install.

OSB is manufactured in large, continuous mats to form a solid board product of consistent quality without overlaps or voids. Finished panels are available in large sizes, minimizing the number of joints that can cause heat loss and draft.

OSB is optimal for:

  • Flooring (also is wet rooms as OSB4)

  • Wall constructions

  • As a web in the production of I-Joists (ProfJoist)

  • Furniture

- Available with a standard edge or with T&G edge (tongue & groove edge)

- Standard size 2500 x 1250 mm
